We had quite a cold and Icy winter this year.
This is the pond in our local park slowly turning to ice.

Here (Chicago area) all the fountains are turned off in the winter so they don’t freeze and crack the pipes. It’s always a sign of spring/summer when they’re turned back on.

Normally we don’t get it cold enough for the water to freeze. In in the South of England. This winter we had a few really cold snaps.

OMG it must be very cold. I can’t even imagine how freezing it would be , yesterday it rained here and I was frozen to death but snow!!! I’ve never even seen it in my life, so I can only imagine how cold it would be.

That photo was taken at the end of February though. I am pleased to say we have had some nice warm weather. It got up to 27 degrees celcius last week. The usual for this time of year is 18-20.

It’s always 27-31 degree Celsius in here.

I tend to get migraines if it goes above 30! It normally only does that for a handful of days per year.

I have never lived anywhere that cold, but I have always liked stories of skating on the lake when frozen. Nice post.
