Picture of the Day – My Favourite Rose

I thought I would share with you a picture of one of the roses in my garden.

I first saw this rose growing in a local park and I found out its name.

It is called Rhapsody in Blue, which is a brilliant name for a rose, isn’t it?

It isn’t blue, of course, it starts out purple then fades to a dusky blueish purple.

It also has a lovely delicate scent. I am so pleased I have now got this growing at home.

As with a lot of roses it has more than one name. It also goes by the name Frantasia.
