Negotiating with Life – Poem

This is for the word prompt of the day: NEGOTIATE

Some days are not so wonderful

but other days are great

I suppose I’ll have to take them both

and learn to negotiate

through life’s maze I’ll make my way.

the twisted turning paths of fate.

I’ll take the rough with the smooth

and I’ll dance to life’s new groove

but while I dance a mighty Jig

from life’s cup, I’ll take a swig.

As adventures end, the next day dawns

bringing with it another date

and so the new adventure spawns,

life goes on, eternal, sedate.

the contract of life ever reborn

until finally we pass through death’s gate

People are far too complicated to be able to describe in a few words so I am not even going to try.
