The Word Prompt: Limerence
I admit it, I had to look it up. See my link to Wikipedia below.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limerence
So it means and obsessive love.
This is also in response to the word prompt: Author, see link below.

Here is my attempt. I am the Author of this poem, but it isn’t about me.
It only took a moment,
Just one look, just one smile,
I was hooked, line and sinkered.
I’d go an extra mile,
just to see that smile.
She was not my type at all.
She had a large tattoo.
A face that never smiled
and cold, hard eyes of blue.
Now my favourite hue.
I admit it, I’m obsessed.
Like a magic spell cast.
are my feelings requited?
This is happening so fast.
Will it even last?
Is this what’s called Limerence?
Intense like being drugged.
such a deep and driven love
It’s like I’ve just been slugged,
when I need to be hugged.
It’s amazing what happens,
as we travel day-to-day.
She helped me cope with the crowds,
we chatted all the way.
How I hope she’ll stay.

It is such an odd word isn’t it!?!

The pingback didn’t work at first, I think it sits and waits until Cyranny authorises it. I sure yours will appear soon (fingers crossed).

Great use of the prompt as I understand it, it is an odd word indeed! See, we are all learning new things, before today, I had never heard that word. π

I hadn’t heard of it either. I think Cyranny likes to really stretch us with unknown, unusual word that just don’t rhyme with anything! π
