Today’s Questions:

1] Which horror movie monster do you think is the deadliest?

If you haven’t seen the film, Pans Labyrinth, I recommend it.

2] Which serial killer do you find the most fascinating?

A woman called Amelia Dyer, she was known as the Angelmaker. She killed babies and was eventually hanged. She may have been responsible for as many as 500 murders.

3] Would you rather know the date of your death or the cause of your death?

If I could prevent it, then knowing would be useful, but how could I know something would happen if I could then prevent it, because then it wouldn’t happen, and we’re trapped in a time paradox. Probably safer not to know.

4] who were you most afraid of as a child

Jack Frost

My Mum would say I needed to get into bed before Jack Frost came and got me. She didn’t realise that I was actually so scared of Jack Frost, I used to be too scared to sleep.

5] Would you ever stay the night in an abandoned house that everyone claims is haunted?

NO, never. I am so terrified of that sort of thing,

6] Have you ever tried to contact a spirit with an Ouija Board?

No I would never do that because I am so terrified of that sort of thing.

I don’t even like the idea of going to a medium. I think when it says Rest In Peace it means we should leave them alone and not try to make contact with the dead. Most mediums are heartless shysters trying to cash in on peoples grief and the ones that aren’t are dangerous.

7] If you were asked to film a new horror movie, what would the plot be?

An orphanage, the children disappear one by one. Something strange is going on and one of the orphans tries to find out what. She discovers that there is a satanic cult running the orphanage and they are using the children in their sick rituals trying to summon the dark lord, except that some are recruited to the cause. They discover that some of the staff are part of it but a few aren’t. However one by one they die until she realises that the ones that are killed all have something in common, they were all born to the same sign of the zodiac. Sagittarius and she is a sagittarius. One born to Sagittarius is the key to opening the Dark Lords prison and bringing him into the world.  She then discovered that everyone left is part of the cult except for her. She is the last one and she must be the key…..

8] Have you ever seen a ghost?

Yep…many times. I am sensitive to things like that and can often tell things about the interior of a building and the people and objects there without ever stepping foot inside.

9] What’s the strangest meal you have ever eaten?

I make weird stuff all the time. If I have left overs that have to be eaten I usually just throw it all together and hope for the best. I’m still alive, so that’s the main thing.

10] What is your favorite superstition?

That if you step in between two mirrors your soul gets sucked out into oblivion.

11] What is the creepiest book you have ever read?

There is an Agatha Christie book called  Endless Night. It is a bit of a departure from her usual stuff and when I first read it I felt chilled for days.

I don’t actually read any horror because my imagination is too vivid and I would scare myself to death.

12] What is the scariest music you have ever heard [provide link]

I have always found this piece of music scary. When I was in the school choir we had to sing it, but I found it so disturbing I left the choir.

13] Do you believe in life after death?

NO. I believe that if our spirit is not too tainted it will return to the great energy field that provides life. If our spirit if too tainted, we are rejected to float freely, possibly as malignant ghosts, for eternity.

14] Which 3 questions will you be deleting to add your own in?

#4, #12, #15

15] Do you believe in psychic ability?

Yes. My Mum is the most down to earth person I know. She is the first to decry anything about the supernatural and refuses to watch or read anything in the Fantasy, Sci-fi or horror line. But she has the uncanny ability to know things. Things she couldn’t possibly know. She often walks towards the phone before it starts to ring. She answers the phone and starts talking before the other person, knowing who it is already. When there is a missing person plea on the news she say something like “Poor little mite, it was the dad who did it” when he is the one doing the press release asking for help. She’s always right. Scary.

16] Have you ever knowingly or unknowingly been inside a haunted house?

I expect so. I’ve been to Edinburgh and that is full of haunted places. There is a street there which was little more than an narrow alley with chambers off of it. Back in the early 1600’s someone in there got the plague and to stop it spreading, they walled up the whole street and left everyone to die. You can now visit it, but it’s not for the faint hearted. They also have the South Bridge experience. The bridge had lots of arches but due to the fact the town was overcrowded and needed space, the building were built out along the bridge and the arches were covered up. They created an underground series of chambers that gradually became home to the criminal classes of Edinburgh. You can do a ghost tour of that too, I did it and I didn’t sleep without a light on for a Month.

17] Which type of movie monster is your favorite?

The monster that’s not really a monster at all.

18] What’s your biggest fear?

That’s a strange question. I can’t quantify fear, I am either scared of something or I’m not. I am terrified of heights, the supernatural, flying, the dark, drowning, crowds, spiders…the list is endless.

19] If you found yourself in a horror movie, would you be one of the first to die or the survivor?

I would either be the first one or the perpetrator. It’s kill or be killed 😉

20] The three bloggers you are nominating are?

People are far too complicated to be able to describe in a few words so I am not even going to try.

  1. I love Carmina Burana. I think O’ Fortuna got a bad rap by being used in the Omen. The poem Orff used is great. It’s view on fate is so true…you can’t fight it. Great answers!
