In the fourth dimensional darkness,
I stare into space and see
a pair of cerulean eyes staring back at me.
As I tremble gazing into starkness,
that nondescript hidden void,
I close the kitchen cupboard door
feeling rather annoyed.
My memory, it’s very poor.
I’d forgotten what I’d gone there for.

I really like this one. If Hallmark does call you, I will buy this card. 🙂

Ha ha, Thank you 😉 I’m glad you liked it. I tend to write more short stories than poems but I do like to write a short poem now and then. 🙂

I have yet to write a poem. I am Lengthy. But I appreciate it when I see it.

I like lengthy, but I’ve found people don’t read longer stuff as much, I try to limit my stories to about 800 words and if longer do them in instalments. 🙂

Thanks for the pointer, I might look into that.

I’m no expert though, I hasten to add. 🙂

🙂 But sometimes it helps to look at things from all angles. No one needs to be an expert to be valid.

Excellent. I can especially relate to the line, “I’d forgotten what I’d gone there for.” Been there, done that.

My idea of keeping fit at the moment is going up and down the stairs forgetting what I went up there for. 😉
