I have been tagged in this challenge by Teresa, The Haunted Wordsmith

This fun and macabre challenge was created by another pal, That Guy Called Bloke
M.M.H.B Challenge – Mystery – Music to Murder By!
The rules are:
- Select 9 pieces of Music that you could Murder by.
- Include a pingback to the original post
- Tag three people to continue the challenge and thank the person who nominated you.
- Simple, Fun and particularly gruesome! I Love It!
So my Number one is:
The Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett.
Number two is Michael Jacksons, Thriller.
Number three is Dies Irae (Day of Judgement) by Verdi.
Number Four is O Fortuna from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.
Number Five is Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach
Number six is Blondie – One way or another.
Number seven is Martha Reeves and the Vandella’s – Nowhere to Run
Number Eight – Sabre Dance by Khachaturian, it’s got a great rhythm.
Finally, my Number 9 song is The Sun will Come Out Tomorrow by Annie.
Maybe not an obvious choice, but have a look at this scene from the film Serial Mom and you’ll see Kathleen Turner putting this song to good use. 🙂
And my three nominees are:
Crushed Caramel

Kristian at Life Lesson from Around the Dinner Table
and Ang4Him at Journey to Imperfection, if you feel like it.

I thank you (taking a bow) I wanted to mix a few obvious ones with some that were bit more ‘out there’ 🙂

I’m choosing to opt out of this one but I LOVE your post. Actually many of my choices if I was to do this would have been the same as yours – so that would make it a bit boring. Definitely Thriller was the first one to come to mind for me. And I loved your Over the Rainbow for #9.
The one that comes to mind that you don’t have listed is one that I first heard in High School when we did put on a lip sync. It is a 1966 novelty song – “They’re Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!” – have you heard it? The guy who did the lip sync did such an amazing job I still always think of this song and it has been over 25 years. It would definitely be on my list.

Yes, I know that song. By coincidence the other Kristian, from Life Lessons Around the Dinner Table, she chose that song as one of her 9.

I guess I may have to look up that blog and start following it. Sounds like we have the same taste.
