A blog that I follow has started playing along with this challenge and it looks like great fun. I found it on Paula Light, Light Motifs II blog, but I then found some of my other blogging pals were doing it too. Check them out:

While I do enjoy writing my stories, sometimes I find I pummel away at the keyboard for a while and then I need something lighter to make me feel better. A little leisure to recuperate and let my Imagination recover. There is no better therapy than music and so without any further ceremony, here are my songs for this challenge.
Day 1: A song you like with a colour in the title:
Mr Blue Sky by the Electric Light Orchestra.
Day 2: A Song you like with a number in the title:
Well I do enjoy a cheese fest, and there is nothing more cheesy than this:
Seven Tears – The Goombay Dance Band.
Day 3: A Song that reminds you of the Summer Time.
In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry
This is a great song, but boy has it dated. One of the lines “Have a drink, have a drive, go out and see what you can find” is not at all a good idea! Unless the drink it is referring to is a good cup of tea (or that other brown beverage) but I don’t think it is.
Day 4: A song that reminds you of someone you’d rather forget.
This song reminds me of its artist, Rolf Harris, who was a celebrity in the UK and came originally from Australia. He was rather a favourite of mine until it came to light that he had been guilty of inappropriate behaviour with lots of young girls. He was convicted and imprisoned in 2014. So, this fits the bill, it is a song and it reminds me of someone I’d rather forget. The actual artist of the song. I don’t think I will ever get over the disappointment.
So would anyone else like to take part in this song challenge?

Wow, what a collection of songs! I love the outfits with the ruffles the Goombay Dance band is wearing! 🙂

I like older music and that song was from the 80’s when fashions were crazy. 🙂 Glad you liked it.

Yes, my mom, being a stylish fashionista, keeps some of those clothes in her closet waiting for the trends to come back. 🙂

Sounds like a pretty cool challenge, Kristian, but I don’t think I have enough time. Maybe soon, though…

They can be time hungry, these challenges. This one, I thought I could do in advance and schedule them out. 🙂
