They’d been stuck on the island for seven years. At first, they’d hated each other. She thought he had a massive chip on his shoulder and he thought she was terribly stuck up.
It was only when the helicopter came to rescue them, did they realise they never wanted to be apart.
[277 Characters]
This story was written for Kat Myrman’s Twittering Tales Challenge, click on the link below:
Twittering Tales #148 – August 6, 2019
I have also included the following word prompt:

This was a very complex plot, offering so many opportunities to ponder what happened in those seven years, or the time after, and all in 277 characters; loved it!

Thank’s Beckie. I enjoy the challenge of writing something in so few words, which isn’t like me at all usually. 🙂

I am so wordy that I admire anyone who can do this challenge. And do it well as you have!

I am usually very wordy and when I started doing these challenges, I found them so hard! I am getting better at them now though. I’m glad you liked my little tale. 🙂

Thank you very much. I have grown and developed into this challenge. I am not known for being succinct but this challenge has really helped me pare down my usual waffle to the bare facts. They are such a useful exercise for me and I’d say for every aspiring writer. 🙂

I agree. When I first got here 100 word stories felt like a challenge to me. Like you I was not known for being succinct. 😉

It’s amazing what can be accomplished when you set your mind to it, I don’t think my family would believe me if I told them I could write down what I wanted to say in just 280 characters! 😉
