And the words:

“Provided she did exactly as instructed, she should be able to get it right.” – Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death – MC Beaton

People often moan they have a stressful job, but Janey’s was particularly tough. She was a bomb disposal officer. In the unlikely event that a bomb was discovered, hers was the number to call. This wasn’t the kind of job that you could dabble at. You had to throw your whole self into it, and she did, literally.

The Call came through that a bomb had been discovered on Main street. As she arrived at the scene, she pulled out her instruction manual and looked up the guidance for this particular model. It was unusual, but one thing was clear, the clock on the front showed ‘50’. Just 50 minutes to diffuse this Bomb. Now that was stress. Provided she did exactly as instructed, she should be able to get it right.

Unfortunately, the clock had been put in the wrong way and 5 minutes was just not enough time.

People are far too complicated to be able to describe in a few words so I am not even going to try.

    1. I get stressed to when I have to drive anywhere. Tomorrow, I have to go 25+ miles away to get my hair done. I’m already becoming anxious about the morning traffic, and driving up in the hills to get there.
Maybe, disarming a bomb isn’t that bad afterall. LOL! 😛
By the way, any news on the interviews?

    2. I had an interview this morning, which I’m not overly confident about and I finally heard today that I didn’t get the last job, but I was a strong candidate… My anxiety was through the roof this morning, but now I just feel tired and exhausted. 🙂

    3. Anxiety can be terribly exhausting. I’m sorry that the interiew fell through, but think of it this way… It was a rehearsal for the next one. Also, because you were a strong canidate… if the person that go that job fails, then you would be next to slide in.
I’m sure you’re happy it’s Friday, and you can catch up with resting this weekend. Feel better, Kristian. 😌
