Dancing in a Circle – A Poem and a Song

Here’s a poem that I have just written about procrastinating…

I was dancing in a circle

my cheeks flushed with rosy hues

I wondered why my life had changed

I was puzzled and confused.

I was dancing in a circle

when my head began to spin

the world continued passing by

I was scared to enter in.

But life continues on without me,

As I dance here on my own.

Then one day I’ll wonder

why all that time had flown?

People are far too complicated to be able to describe in a few words so I am not even going to try.

    1. Thank you. That’s just what I was going for, the idea that sometimes in life we go round and round repeating ourselves, because we fear what changing course may bring. 🙂 Glad you liked it 🙂
