In keeping with my favorite holiday season all the year long, I’m going to do ‘Halloween-y” words for the month of October.
The word of the day today is CREMATORIUM.
- another term for crematory.late 19th century: modern Latin, from cremare ‘burn’.
Write a poem, story or anecdote inspired by this word.

Most Importantly, Have Fun!
I can’t tell you how relieved I am that the plural form wasn’t chosen!
The Romans had a moratorium
On long salutes in the praetorium
If any damned fool
Broke the two-second rule
He’d wind up in the crematorium

Very cleverly done 🙂 Crematoria, Gloria, Astoria, could make a good rhyme 😉

The rhyme isn’t a problem, Kristian. I think it could be difficult to build a two-verse, acrostic limerick on crematoria!
