The word of the day today is CREMATORIUM.

noun: crematorium; plural noun: crematoria; plural noun: crematoriums
  1. another term for crematory.
late 19th century: modern Latin, from cremare ‘burn’.

Write a poem, story or anecdote inspired by this word.

People are far too complicated to be able to describe in a few words so I am not even going to try.

  1. I can’t tell you how relieved I am that the plural form wasn’t chosen!

    The Romans had a moratorium
On long salutes in the praetorium
    If any damned fool
    Broke the two-second rule
He’d wind up in the crematorium
