The Word of the Day is Winklepicker,
I hope you enjoy using this unusual word in a story or a poem
The Word of the Day is WINKLEPICKER.
Definition: If someday you ever manage to prepare mollusk skewers using pointy shoes, this will illustrate perfectly the sense of a winklepicker. Not clear about this yet? Winklepickers are shoes with such a sharp point that they evoke the utensils used to prise (force open) winkles from their shells.

Most Importantly, Have Fun!
I never once wore winkle-pickers;
They’re for rockers and some city-slickers.
I was a mod,
You silly old sod;
And now there’s a twist in your knickers!
