Song Lyrics Sunday: Apple Blossom White

The Challenge set by Jim Adams in his post linked below, is to find a song lyric that has something to do with a prompt. This week the Spring Blooming prompts of Blossoms/Cherry/Flower

Many of you who know me, know that I love old songs. I instantly thought of this one:

Cerezo rosa

Perez Prado

It’s cherry pink and apple blossom white
When your true lover comes your way
It’s cherry pink and apple blossom white
The poets say

The story goes that once a cherry tree
Beside an apple tree did grow

And there a boy once met his bride to be
Long long ago

The boy looked into her eyes, it was a sight to enthral
The breezes joined in their sighs, the blossoms started to fall
And as they gently caressed, the lovers looked up to find
The branches of the two trees were intertwined,

And that is why the poets always write
If there’s a new moon bright above
It’s cherry pink and apple blossom white
When you’re in love

And here is a version sung by Pat Boone. 🙂

Hope you enjoyed this musical interlude 🙂

People are far too complicated to be able to describe in a few words so I am not even going to try.

    1. There is so much great music that’s slipped through the cracks that needs to be heard again, because it was just so good. Heaven knows they won’t play it on the radio, so I do…
