The Word of the Day is Holiday

This has a slightly different meaning in the UK to the US, in the UK this word means a vacation but I understand in the US it is specific to a holy festival of Easter or Christmas and is now most closely associated with, what we say in the UK as Merry Christmas, and in the US is often Happy Holidays.
I hope you enjoy using this word in a story or a poem.

People are far too complicated to be able to describe in a few words so I am not even going to try.
