Picture of the Day – Stained Glass

This is a picture of a stained glass window in St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague.

I had never seen such beautiful stained glass before.

This particular window was designed by the artist Alphonse Mucha, who was a pioneer of the Art Nouveau movement, also known as Jugenstil, based in Prague.

There is also a fantastic round window depicting the creation with a rainbow all around it.

I recommend, if you are in the area, to visit this Cathedral, which is part of the castle complex.

I hope you enjoy this picture.
