I’ve reached 1000 followers!!! THANK YOU.

1,000 Follows!

Congratulations on getting 1,000 total follows on Tales from the mind of Kristian!
Your current tally is 1,001.
I am so excited that I have now reached/exceeded 1000 followers!
I have been blogging now since the 7th of March 2018, so well over a year, but I had no blogging experience before then and had no expectations. I just wanted to write stories and poetry and have somewhere to put them. With those low expectations in mind, I did not expect to make so many wonderful blogging friends, to meet so many excellent writers and poets and to thoroughly enjoy my blogging experience.
To have achieved 1000 followers, I am thrilled!
I would like to give a HUGE thank you.

THANK YOU!

Thanks, to all my followers and my regular readers and commenters. I would have given up blogging ages ago without your support and encouragement.

Cheers!

Cheers

Showing my Support for Three Great Bloggers.

Three of my Blogging pals are promoting their published books at the moment. This is such an awesome thing, to publish a book, and I am slightly envious, but also really thrilled for them.

Firstly, N.F Mirza is promoting her book, Swinging Sanity. Her blog is Stoneronarollercoaster and she was one of my first followers. Please click on the link below.

https://stoneronarollercoaster.wordpress.com/2019/03/08/6969/

Secondly, Laleh Chini of the Blog A Voice from Iran is promoting her book, Climbing over Grit. Again, she has been a follower of my blog and I also appreciate her short stories and also words of encouragement.

Review “Climbing Over Grit”

and Thirdly, Matt, of the Blog M.S Poetry has published his poetry anthology book, Day by Day.

Promotion time!

Please show them your support. One day, when I get some Income, which I hope is soon. I intend to buy all three of these books. Until then, I’ll show my support in this way.

Happy Blogging.

This is me, dressed as a Roman Emperor, taken last year on the Isle of Wight!

Initially I was just going to dip my toe into the water, just to check the temperature, but instead, I jumped in.

Writing has always been a passion of mine, but I never really shared much of what I wrote with anyone else. I have now found that Blogging has also become a passion, thanks to the support and encouragement I have received for you.

Thank you to everyone. I was also a bit wary of social media, that it was full of trolls lacking any vestige of empathy, just looking for an excuse to tear people down. Instead, here on WordPress, I have found a great bunch of people who are genuinely caring and supportive.

Thank you all very much.

UPDATED – Successors to the DAILY POST – A Wealth of Inspiration.

Since the demise of the daily post there has been an explosion of creativity.

Lots of people are doing their own daily word prompts to help inspire us all.

I wanted to highlight a few of them that are out there.

I don’t see competition, I just see more creative inspiration.

What each of us lack is the scope and outreach of the original daily post, but if we collaborate and link to each other, we spread the word and increase the number of people out there who can there view each others work.

  1. Of course I will have to start with the Collaborative word prompt that I am doing with my fellows, Dee Kelly at Thriving not Surviving, Calmkate at Aroused and Cyranny’s Cove. Collaboratively we cover a wider audience than each of us would alone.  See the link below for more information and inspiration.

https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2018/06/02/word-prompt-take-part/

2) My pal Debbie Whittam, does these wonderful 50- word thursday prompts where she gives you a Picture and a phrase and you have to incorporate it into a short story, poem or anecdote. See link for more info:

https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2018/06/07/50-word-thursday-4-her-little-secret/

3) Another pal, The Haunted Wordsmith hosts a Three Things Challenge on a Daily basis, where she gives you three things to incorporate into a poem or story. They are great fun.

Here is a link to show you all about them:

https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2018/06/10/three-things-challenge-10th-june-2018/

4) At the same time as Dee and I began our Collaboration another blogger who I follow, Novus Lectio,

https://novuslectio.wordpress.com/

began their own new blog ‘Swimmers’ which also does daily prompts and hopes to also do some of the Community pool stuff as well.

See here for link:

https://swimmersweek.wordpress.com/2018/06/10/author/

5) A fellow blogger, Sheryl is going to start her own Daily Post site from today.

https://onedailyprompt.wordpress.com/2018/06/10/hello-fellow-bloggers-who-miss-the-daily-prompt/

6) I discovered another blogger who is hosting a Daily Post, yesterday, called Ragtag.

here is a link to that site too.

https://ragtagcommunity.wordpress.com/2018/06/10/limerence/

7. Also my pal Laura, hosts a meet and greet post regularly for people to highlight their blogs. She has lots of followers, so it is quite useful. Here is a link. She deletes them after 24 hours though.

Meet & Greet

8. I nearly forgot to mention that over at the Go Dog Go Cafe, they do wonderful promote yourself mondays and pay it forward thursdays. See link:

Promote Yourself Monday- June 11, 2018

9. And my pals at the Floating Thoughts also do great collaborative poems on a regular basis that are really great fun. Please check out this link:

INVITATION #3: Write with Roy & Dee Kay !!!

OK so that is all the Word Prompt’s and Daily post successors that I am currently aware of. If you want to make people aware of them please share this post.

Also if you are hosting something yourself or know of a similar post, please let me know in the comments.

Now for the important bit:

WHAT WE SET OUT TO ACHIEVE INDIVIDUALLY AND ON OUR OWN WILL NEVER HAVE THE SCOPE THAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER.

SO SHARE EACH OTHERS ENDEAVOURS AND SPREAD THE WORD.

SHARE THE LOVE

Thank you.

UPDATES:

😢 You left out my “FOWC with Fandango’s One-Word Challenge.” But that’s okay, I understand that lots of writing prompts have sprung up to fill the void left when WordPress deep-sixed its own “official” daily one-word prompt.
Anyway, for you and your readers, you can “FOWC with Fandango any time you want.
Hi Kristian
I do Manic Mondays 3 Way prompt.
Each monday, I offer a word, photo and a song. Choose 1, all or any combination. Entries can come in any creative form. The only limit is your imagination. This weeks:
Also Cee Neuner has a comprehensive list of challenges on her blog. See Below.

Another Anniversary, well Monthiversary

Today marks Three Months since I began my blog.

This is such a fantastic milestone for me, because I tend to give up and move on to something new after 2 months and here I am after three months and still blogging!

I started with absolutely no blogging experience and very little technical knowledge.

I am so proud to say I now have 213 followers.

I have Posted 334 posts (this one will make 335).

I have had 7,759 views, 2,808 visitors and 4,061 likes.

I must be doing OK then? You must like some of the stories and poems that come out of this crazy head of mine. Surely?

I wanted to share again with you two of my earlier posts:

This one has had the fewest views, probably because I posted in on my very first day:

https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2018/03/07/the-piano-of-anxiety/

Let me know what you think.

This one is one of my most viewed story posts:

https://talesfromthemindofkristian.wordpress.com/2018/05/11/the-woman-in-the-wood-a-witchy-tale/

Have I improved?

The only reason I haven’t given up, it because of the lovely encouraging comments I get from you. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I have enjoyed the blogging process so much more than I thought I would.

I enjoy reading other blogs and seeing what it out there. I have also made a lot of blogging friends along the way, from all over the world. That has been a huge bonus.

Bless you. XXX

CELEBRATION TIME! I have now got 200 followers!

Congratulations on getting 200 total follows on Tales from the mind of Kristian!

I Am so pleased, I wish to thank all of my followers and also all the other bloggers who come and have a look what I am doing on my blog and leave likes and comments.
I started my blog in March and had no experience of blogging at all.
I just wanted a place to share my short stories and poems and receive feedback so I can improve.
