Song Lyric’s Sunday – Do I detect a Summer Breeze? No Not yet.

The Challenge set by Jim Adams in his post linked below, is to find a song lyric that has something to do with the Weather: Breeze/Cloud/Sky/Wind.

I thought of this song sung by the Isley Brothers: Summer Breeze.

The Original was written and recorded by Seals and Crofts. Released in 1972

I hope you enjoy this song:

“Summer Breeze”

See the curtains hangin’ in the window
In the evening on a Friday night
A little light a-shinin’ through the window
Lets me know everything’s all right

Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowin’ through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowin’ though the jasmine in my mind

See the paper layin’ on the sidewalk
A little music from the house next door
So I walk on up to the doorstep
Through the screen and across the floor

Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowin’ through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowin’ through the jasmine in my mind

Sweet days of summer, the jasmine’s in bloom
July is dressed up and playing her tune
And I come home from a hard day’s work
And you’re waitin’ there
Not a care in the world

See the smile awaitin’ in the kitchen
Through cookin’ and the plates for two
Feel the arms that reach out to hold me
In the evening when the day is through

Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mindne

I hope you enjoyed this song and you have a fantastic Sunday. 🙂

Twittering Tales – The Scent of Love

The breeze that wafted onto the balcony brought with it the scent of orange blossoms.

Jamie loved that smell, it reminded him of his Mother. Nothing could equal the comforting aroma.

Jamie put his head through the balustrade to breathe it in.

He’d never accept she’d gone.

Earth’s Last Day – A poem for Kira’s Sunday Scribbles.

This poem was written for Kira’s Sunday Scribbles, see link below:

A face appeared from out the clouds

And gave a level stare

As screams were heard from panicked crowds

And bombs dropped from the air.

Bright lights flashed and eyes were dazzled

By fires blinding flare.

A scourging breeze fanned flames that frazzled.

Burning everything there.

In a terrifying display,

This was Earth’s last day.
