Heed the Call – A poem for Kira’s Sunday Scribbles.

This poem was written for Kira’s Sunday Scribbles, please click on the link below to see the post:

It takes a lot of courage,

To remain serene,

When there is pollution everywhere

And the Oceans are unclean.

It takes tremendous bravery

and hope, to give birth

when you’re the keeper of the planet.

When you’re Mother Earth.

Have faith for humankind

Has chosen to heed the call.

The environmentalists have spoken,

We have signed the protocol.

If we want the world to continue

We must change once and for all.

Wondering what quotes I am going to use…Hmmm.

This one from Mark Twain seems quite good.

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear. - Mark Twain

I always considered myself a coward, but then I thought, seeing as I suffer from constant anxiety and pretty much fear everything, the fact that I get up every morning is a pretty big achievement. Maybe, I have courage after all.  – Kristian Fogarty

6-Word Story –16th June

Word Prompt: Front Line

Your Life: Be Front Line Troopers.

Living is leading at the front.

What I wanted to convey is the importance of taking control of your life. To sit back and enjoy the ride is fine, unless someone else is holding the reins. There are times when you need to hand over the reins for a bit, but never surrender them altogether. It’s your life.
