Easter’s Birth – Kira’s Sunday Scribbles

This poem was written in response to this picture from Kira’s Sunday Scribbles.

As winter finally passes

In one last final flurry,

The season we’re all yearning for,

Comes running in a hurry,

To catch up for lost time,

Spreading greenery with a fling

And in the spirit of its rebirth

The trees start their blossoming.

Picture of the Day – Good Friday Greetings

However you choose to celebrate this time of year, I wish you all (Now I sounds like the Queen…God bless all who sail in her….) A very happy Easter.

For Me, Easter means Hot Cross Buns and a short holiday (Vacation).

This year I am going for a very short trip to the Isle of Wight.

Those of you who are familiar with my Blog will know that I love the Isle of Wight and go there quite often. I will be going tomorrow then coming back on Easter Monday.

I hope you have a lovely Easter weekend.
