The Topic is Happiness.
What is happiness? It is a feeling of contentment caused when your mental health is good and you acknowledge that you have acquired or achieved something that makes you happy, or you realise that there is no reason to be unhappy. It is a mental attitude and it can be a choice, however, for someone suffering depression, this is not something that happens quite as well. So, In quoting Aeschylus below, I acknowledge that for some of us, simply choosing to be happy, doesn’t quite work as well.
“Money or things can’t buy you happiness, they can only provide a level of misery you can live with. “
I would also like to share with you a song lyric/poem that I wrote a while ago. It’s called Happiness:
Thank you, Paula, for thinking of me. I apologise for not posting this as promptly as I would have liked.

Dedicated Topic For Today: βExpressionβ
The word of the day is Velvet, so I wanted to find an interesting expression including the word Velvet. I found two.
Firstly is an old expression that was used as a humorous name for a Mole.
Β – the little gentleman in the velvet coat
Secondly is an expression for a situation that is undesirable or unfulfilling but provides enough financial security to make someone unwilling to leave.
Β – velvet handcuffs
Finally, a quote from me:
“The greatest expression of all is to have the freedom of it.”
You can quote me on that.
So, Who shall I nominate to take part in this challenge?

Here’s a couple from me:
“Gratitude for the things you have puts you on the path to a positive attitude. “
“You can’t be positive every day, don’t beat yourself up about it, some days are just rubbish, but don’t wake up the next day expecting more of the same.”
Who shall I nominate?
Well Nova already posted about attitude and said that no one nominated her, well, I have now, Nova π

I have actually, done one of these already today but I don’t want to disappoint JP who is a very supportive blogger. Also, there are a lot of great quotes about the Truth out there.
“The Truth is out there, but there’s no point in looking for it anywhere near any politician.” – Kristian FogartyΒ
βThere’s a world of difference between truth and facts. Facts can obscure truth.βΒ βΒ Maya Angelou
I won’t be tagging anyone this time, but if you are reading this and want to have a go, please be my guest.

Thanks again Mr. Bloke. π
βIn a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.β
β George Orwell
Who’s real name was Eric Blair and not George Orwell, way to go at telling the truth, Eric! (Only kidding).
2. “Telling lies, that’s teachable, telling the truth is unimpeachable. People usually lie because they perceive the risk to be less than telling the truth.”

Wondering what quotes I am going to use…Hmmm.
This one from Mark Twain seems quite good.
I always considered myself a coward, but then I thought, seeing as I suffer from constant anxiety and pretty much fear everything, the fact that I get up every morning is a pretty big achievement. Maybe, I have courage after all.Β – Kristian Fogarty

The Topic: Creative Writing
Thanks for tagging me Rory.
I have made no secret that I attended a creative writing class in January and that is what ultimately gave me the confidence to start my blog.
What is creative writing? It is any writing that goes beyond the normal bounds of professional, academic, journalistic or technical writing. It includes poetry.
Everyone writes in their own style, there is very little you can do that is wrong (except spelling and grammar).
There is no point in writing something and not sharing it. It is only in its reading does the writing start to exist. Reading brings it to life. Writing only puts it on the page or the screen.
Feedback is useful and constructive.
What didn’t it teach me?
How to spell and use grammar.
So quotes about Creative Writing:
The More you do it the better it gets – (I just said that, but I’m sure someone more famous than me has already said it).
“If there’s a book you really want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” ~ Toni Morrison
