Day 14 –  A song you’d love to be played at your wedding.

Well, this is purely hypothetical, but I do like something impressive, like a fanfare. I also like a powerful organ (Now please, that wasn’t a euphemism, get your mind out of the gutter).

Here is my choice: The Finale from Camille Saint-Saens Organ Symphony

Day 13 – A Song you like from the ’70’s

I like a lot of songs from the 1970’s is hard to narrow it down.

I have chosen this one from December 1973

WIZZARD – I Wish It could be Christmas Every Day

And, by the way, I don’t! One day a year is quite enough thank you VERY much.

Have a great one. 🙂

I am so delighted that so many of my blogging pals are taking part in this now. You all have wide tastes in music. I tend to like the older music that has stood the test of time. Today will be no exception.

Day 12 – A Song from your Pre-teen years.

Here is a song that I absolutely loved as a youngster.

Blondie – Heart of Glass.

Day 10 – A Song that Makes you Sad.

OK here is a confession. There is a famous Christmas song that I really can’t listen to. It makes me cry EVERY TIME. It also makes me feel very sad and depressed. For that reason, you will understand that it isn’t on my Happy List or on my list of favourite Christmas songs.

So which song is it?

This one.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Judy Garland.

I’m off to have a little cry now.

See you later.

Day 9 – A Song that makes you happy.

A while ago I posted that I have a happy playlist of songs that I listen to, when I’ve feeling a bit low. They help to shift my mood. See the post here:

This is my song for today though:

I’m into Something Good – Herman’s Hermits.

Hope you like it. 🙂

Day 8 – A Song about Drugs or Alcohol.

Hmm, well due to some personal circumstances that have left my family bereft, I will have no part of drugs whatsoever. So, thinking about alcohol, this song came to mind.

Whiskey in the Jar – This version is the traditional song performed by the folk irish band, the Dubliners.

And here is Thin Lizzie for their version.

Day 6 – A Song that makes you want to Dance

As a child of the Seventies, born in the middle of the Disco fever. I love the Bee Gees, what could make you want to start dancing more than this great song?

Day 5 – A Song that needs to be played LOUD!

Tubthumping (I get knocked down) by Chumbawamba. This came out in the late 1990s and so for me, this is quite modern… It reminds me of jumping around a lot when I was a student, in the student union bar. Those were the days…

I would also like to say thank you to Belle of Wandering Belle’s Blog because she inspired the two bloggers who inspired me to take part in this great challenge. Share the love and spread it around. Check out her blog here:
