The Tuesday Writing Challenge was to write a short poem or prose containing the words Everyone, Closing in, and Timeless.
Here is my attempt:
Everyone wants something great to happen to them
Everyone wants a life of meaning
Something wonderful
Always dreaming
Without ending,
Timeless.
But life isn’t eternal,
You can sometimes feel time ticking
Closing in
Light flicking
Like a herald of death
And on the back of your neck
It’s breath.
Stop dreaming of timeless tomorrows
Start living today.
Your way.
Now.
